RAHANA: Vahid Laelipour, husband of student activist Mahdieh Golrou, has been served with the verdict of the 28th branch of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Moghiseh. He has not had a lawyer.
According to the RAHANA reporter, Laelipour has never been politically active and the only reason that he has been convicted of antiregime
reason that he has been convicted of antiregime propaganda and organizing gatherings is that he is the husband of the detained student activist Mahdieh Golrou.

Mahdieh Golrou is serving her 3 ½ sentence in the Evin Prison. Last week, she was transferred to the Quarantine Section of the Evin Prison and the Methadone Ward along with several other prisoners of the Women’s Ward. She has been banned from telephone calls by the Tehran Prosecutor. She was able to visit her husband in prison yesterday. She was in good condition during the prison visit.

In the past a few months, she has been under intense pressure by the interrogators and judges during her detention in solitary confinement and in the General Ward. Her 2 year sentence is an example of the pressure she has endured.
